While you are there tour the facility's museum dedicated to Gov. E. Lee Trinkle. From Galewinds Amusement Park to the Fort Chiswell Animal Park, no matter what your interest, you will find it in the Wytheville region. If shopping is your forte, head on over to Snoopers Antique Mall or visit the myriad of downtown shops. If your family likes "hands on" participation, a visit to Virginia City with its gun fights and sluice mines is in order. Be sure to stop for a visit at the Big Walker Lookout and Country Store. If its Arts and History you are craving, start at the Wytheville Heritage Museum, then head on over to the Haller-Gibboney Rock House and the Thomas J. Boyd Museum.
